Five that should be on the radar

Five that should be on the radar

Posted: Updated:

Chris Givens- WR St. Louis

Search up and down most draft sheets and you are likely to not find Givens name. You should. Givens has been working at all three wide receiver positions in St. Louis and while Tavon Austin will likely get the headlines, Givens has been the most consistent in camp. He is coming off of a 42 catch 698 yard season and should see increases in both stat categories as well as his three touchdowns a year ago.

Christine Michael- RB Seattle

This is of the deep sleeper variety, but Michael is a perfect pick in a dynasty league. If Marshawn Lynch were to get injured, Michael could see the first and second down carries with Robert Turbin being utilized on passing downs.

DeAndre Hopkins- WR Houston

Hopkins is on many owners radar as they head toward their draft. He should be. Projecting as a WR3, Hopkins showed great hands with his touchdown catch against Minnesota in the preseason opener.

Cordarrelle Patterson- WR Minnesota

Patterson currently sits behind Jerome Simpson on the depth chart. That won't be the case for long. The playmaking rookie totaled 104 yards (50 return yards, 54 receiving yards) in his debut.

Shane Vereen- RB New England

The Patriots were the equivalent of the Titanic of fantasy football. Injuries and departures to key producers peppered the ship causing massive leaks. Team Belichick has been down below with Shane Vereen trying to stop the deluge. It might be working. Vereen will fill the hole left by Danny Woodhead, only better. His versatility will give Tom Brady a great weapon.
