Week Twelve Analysis: While 80 yards on 24 carries is nothing special, fifth-year journeyman Jalen Parmele did it against Houston's elite-level run defense last week, and he's officially hurdled Rashad Jennings on Jacksonville's depth chart. He'll find a lot more room to operate this week against a deplorable Tennessee defense that cedes 174 combo yards and a touchdown per game to opposing backs. The Jaguars have given their designated lead back 20 touches per game this season, so considering his projected workload and highly-favorable matchup, Parmele could be one of the sneakiest running back plays of the week.
Week Twelve Add: The Jaguars pulled a switcheroo on Sunday, as they benched their previous starting running back, Rashad Jennings, and plugged in special teamer Jalen Parmele. It was understandable. Jennings had averaged a crappy 43 yards per game, 2.9 yards per carry, and .25 touchdowns per game. So, how did Parmele look with 24 carries? Well, not great. He managed just 80 yards and 3.3 yards per carry. But, he's a starting running back, and that makes him worth a roster spot until MoJo returns, which probably doesn't happen for a couple weeks. Parmele is worth $3.
