Donald Brown

Donald Brown

Week Eleven Drop: What can Brown do for me? How about this: Score a damn touchdown! Donald Brown has scored just one time on the year, way back in the opener. He was a dubious fantasy starter even when he was getting all the carries. Now that Vick Ballard has turned it into a timeshare, Brown simply can't be fantasy productive with just a dozen carries a game. And he's not helping in PPR leagues with just four catches all year. Indy does have three easy games left on the schedule, including Buffalo in two weeks. But that's the only reason to consider keeping Brown.

Week Two Analysis:
Quietly, Donald Brown is beginning to round into a worthy flex option. Over his last seven games, he's scored four times and averaged 13 touches for 66 combo yards. For now, he appears to have a pretty solid grip on the lead job in Indy, so he's certainly worth consideration in the right matchup. The Vikings' run defense isn't what it used to be, but it's still very capable, and the path of least resistance continues to be through the air, particularly in the direction of the pirouetting Chris Cook. You could probably do better than Brown this week, but his recent trends warrant a look.
