Where to take a Quarterback

Where to take a Quarterback

Posted: Updated:

One of the biggest struggles fantasy owners have surrounds when is the right time to draft a quarterback. Certainly understanding your league scoring system will determine how quickly quarterbacks come off the board but it is also important to have a plan walking into your draft as to five or six names that you would be okay leading your team to Fantasy Victory.

Today's podcast is based on a 12 team draft and the average draft position (ADP) is based on mock drafts completed yesterday and today.

Three Sleepers:
Jay Cutler:

I am in fantasy love with Cutler. The addition of Brandon Marshall will give Cutler the legitimate number one wide out the Bears have been waiting for. Currently Charch has J-Cut ranked 14th. His current ADP is 93rd in the ninth round. I like him better than Schaub, RGIII and Matt Ryan who are all ranked above him.

Joe Flacco:
I only put Flacco in a slepper position based on Charch's rankings and his current ADP. Flacco has been remarkably consistent in yards and touchdowns the past three seasons. This will be the year he makes his way into the top 10 conversation.

Alex Smith:
Let me be perfectly clear. I don't like Alex Smith. Truth be told, I don't want anything to do with him. Here comes the biggest but in the history of Fantasy Victory. He now has no excuse to not produce from a fantasy perspective. He has weapons all over the field, and if he can't put up numbers now, he never will.
