Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles

Week Three Analysis: For the last two weeks it seemed like money in the bank to start the defense that was playing against either John Skelton or Kevin Kolb at quarterback. In fact, both weeks I ranked those defenses very high, but was wrong both times. This week… ah screw it! There's no possible way the Eagles can do anything against the mighty Cardinals! (sarcasm intended). In all seriousness, the Cardinals line is decimated by injury and can't seem to open a hole for a running back, but through two weeks they've allowed only two sacks. Philly is the best defense they've faced yet though, so we'll see how wrong I am this week.

Week One Analysis:
Last year's Eagles team tied for the most sacks in the NFL with 50, and somehow they managed to add Fletcher Cox to the defensive line in the draft. The Eagles' front seven looks to be stacked, but that's what we thought last year too. A big-time lack of takeaways (only 24) last season brought their fantasy numbers down a few pegs. Luckily the Eagles should get a decent confidence boost as they face off against the all-rookie squad, the Cleveland Browns, this week. With Colt McCoy at the helm last season, the Browns offense was not very aggressive, but look for Brandon Weeden to take a few more chances, and make a few more mistakes this weekend.
