Aaron Hernandez

Aaron Hernandez

Week Two Analysis: It's almost sad that Aaron Hernandez is on the same team with Rob Gronkowski. On any other team he probably wouldn't be overshadowed by Gronk's insane numbers. But take a step back and look at Hernandez's own stats and you'll see that he has scored in five of his last seven games. Also, Hernandez was on the field for every offensive snap in Week 1 (sometimes lining up at wide receiver), neither Wes Welker nor Brandon Lloyd can say that.

Targets Rec Yds TD Rush TD Pts
Week 1 7 6 59 1 0 0 11.9
Season 7 6 59 1 0 0 11.9

Week One Analysis: Aaron Hernandez is about half a foot shorter than Rob Gronkowski. He's a tight end, but lines up in the slot almost as much as Wes Welker. For everything that Hernandez is not, he's a dynamite fantasy start nearly every week. The Pats locked Hernandez down to a big contract just a few weeks ago, and rumors indicated that he would attempt to look for wide receiver money since he took so many snaps from that position. He's the new breed of hybrid player, and it's like starting a really good wideout at tight end each week. After all, he's a part of the team that had three players with over 112 targets last season, and no other offense came anywhere close to that.
