The Lions face the Packers in a game between two teams pretty disinterested in the outcome. The Packers gain nothing from a win. The Lions might, maybe, move from the sixth seed to the fifth seed. Big deal. Kevin Smith is the Lions best runner, and he’s been playing hurt. He could easily get rested in a game with so little on the line. Plus, with the Packers very possibly resting many of their players on both sides of the ball, the Lions could get ahead early, and play Maurice Morris through the rest of the game.
