In his first action since suffering a high ankle sprain in week 11, Adrian Peterson carried just 10 times against the Saints. Thirty-nine of his 60 yards came on one carry, and while he made it through the game without a setback, he didn’t quite look like himself. Toby Gerhart caught two touchdowns as the Vikings played catch-up, and Peterson has since publicly aired his frustration over the meager workload. It figures to be a more balanced game script this week in Washington, and loud superstars typically get fed, so expect an sizeable uptick for Peterson against a very average Redskins’ run defense. Keep an eye on practice reports this week, and plan on starting Peterson as usual.
