Matthew Stafford has now thrown for increasing touchdowns in four
straight games. Four weeks ago he threw one touchdown against the
Saints. Since then he’s thrown two, then three, then four last week in
their bludgeoning of the Chargers. Will he continue the progression
and throw five against a disinterested Packers team? The Packers
haven’t seen many good quarterbacks all year, and especially lately.
So, there’s a chance. The fly in the ointment is this: The Lions don’t
have a lot to play for either, just the difference between the fifth and
sixth seed. Hopefully, that’s enough to keep Stafford in the game all
four quarters.
